Modules Guide - TONE

The TONE module is a non-sequenced instrument module. It includes an external input, a Higurashi Generator, and three looper modules. HGR can be driven by another instrument’s trigger or by the clock, chosen from its right-click menu, and every LFO here makes the same choice with TRIG in its panel. See also Trigger Source.

Parameter	Description
BUS	Selects the output destination for the module. See also Audio Bus.
DL1	Adjusts the send level to DL1.
DL2	Adjusts the send level to DL2.
RVB	Adjusts the send level to RVB.

AUX : External Input

Parameter	Description
AUX (Activator Switch)	Turns the module on or off.
L/R	Adjusts the left/right balance of the input source. Swinging all the way to the left uses only the left channel of the input source. The same goes for right.
LEV	Adjusts the output level.

HGR : Higurashi Generator

Parameter	Description
HGR (Activator Switch)	Turns the module on or off.
TRIG	Sets the trigger probability. When triggered, it generates a beep sound.
RPT	Sets the probability that it will trigger again after the beep sound ends.
RTO	Adjusts the frequency ratio of the frequency modulator.
MOD	Adjusts the amount of frequency modulation.
LEV	Adjusts the output level.

LOP1 : Looper

Parameter	Description
LOP1 (Activator Switch)	Turns the module on or off. When enabled, it loops continuously.
FILE MENU	Selects the sound file. See also Sound File Menu.
RM	Adjusts the amount of ring modulation.
FRQ	Adjusts the frequency of ring modulation.
HPF	Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the high-pass filter.
LPF	Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter.
RES	Adjusts the resonance amount of the high-pass and low-pass filter.
OVT	Adjusts the amount of overtone.
LFO	Randomizable Adjusts the frequency of the LFO.
AMT	Randomizable Adjusts the amount of LFO modulation.
LFO MENU	Shows the LFO’s shape and targets. Click to open the LFO panel. See also LFO.
PCH	Adjusts the pitch of the sound.
LEV	Adjusts the output level.

LOP2 : Granular Looper

Parameter	Description
LOP2 (Activator Switch)	Turns the module on or off. When enabled, it loops continuously.
FILE MENU	Selects the sound file. See also Sound File Menu.
PCH	Adjusts the pitch of the sound.
SIZE	Adjusts the grain size.
DIST	Adjusts the grain distance.
JIT	Adjusts the jitter.
HPF	Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the high-pass filter.
LPF	Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter.
RES	Adjusts the resonance amount of the high-pass and low-pass filter.
LFO MENU (upper row)	Shows LFO1’s shape and targets. Click to open the LFO panel. See also LFO.
LFO / AMT (upper)	Randomizable Adjusts the frequency of LFO1 and the amount of its modulation.
LFO MENU (lower row)	Shows LFO2’s shape and targets. Its target list also includes LFO1 : FRQ and LFO1 : AMT, so LFO2 can modulate LFO1 as well as the module’s own parameters.
LFO / AMT (lower)	Randomizable Adjusts the frequency of LFO2 and the amount of its modulation.
SPD	Adjusts the playback speed.
LEV	Adjusts the output level.
